Dressing for fall in the south can be tricky, as a large majority of the population has experienced these past few weeks. I mean…it’s still 90 degrees outside. What is that?! Alas, like many of you, I still like to try to ‘make fall happen’ with my wardrobe.
Insert this little Burgundy Leather Mini Skirt. The color is on trend, but the hemline allows me to breath a bit until these temperatures cool off. Thankfully EXPRESS does an amazing job with their (Minus The) Leather collection every year. The pieces are typically a bit stretchier and definitely more breathable then real leather fashions. I found this striped knit top that matched the skirt perfectly and loved the semi-monochromatic pairing of the two. Not to mention, it would be perfect for an upcoming Florida State gameday {always on my mind of course}. I will say, this short sleeve turtleneck {that’s an odd pairing, am I right?} was a tad on the warmer side for the current temps. in Charleston. Hopefully it’ll be more suitable in the coming weeks, because it would be darling paired with some dark denim and flats.
