Favorite Christmas Morning Traditions
We all have those special traditions associated with the holidays. Whether it’s making your Grandmother’s dish for Christmas dinner, opening a gift on Christmas Eve, or playing Elf on the Shelf with your kiddos. Each one is so special and provides us with a sense of connection to one another. Traditions that simply make the holidays feel like, well – the holidays! So today, I’m partnering with Yankee Candle to share my favorite Christmas morning tradition in celebration of their Magical Christmas Morning Collection!
While we have a lot of Christmas morning traditions in our family, matching pajamas ranks #1 of them all! It’s something the gals in the family have done for years. Sadly we’ve never been able to get the men in the fam on board haha…I’ll never stop trying. Thankfully I’ve got Parker to stand in. He doesn’t seem to mind.
Even if we’re not physically celebrating together {there have only been a couple years where Sterling & I spent Christmas away from Colorado}, my Mom still makes it a point to send me my matching PJs in advance so I’ll match for the FaceTime call later in the day. I have so much appreciation for her dedication to upholding our family traditions thorough the years. It never seems like a big deal growing up, but now that Sterling & I are making a few traditions of our own, it’s all the more special to have some to carry on.
Now what would Christmas morning be without the fragrance of the holiday in the air?! Candles are constantly burning in my home year-round, but especially in the cooler months. Yankee Candle can do no wrong when it comes to their signature fragrances, but I’m loving a few of their updated + new combinations as part of the Magical Christmas Morning Collection! Balsam & Cedar will forever rank my #1. However, Singing Carols is really doing it for me this year! It’s a lovely combination of fruit, evergreen + spice notes that create an inspiring Christmas melody. But you really can’t go wrong with either!
Where to Find Cute Matching Pajamas
Lake Pajamas is a favorite of mine year round, not just for holiday cozies. But goodness, they would make for seriously the comfiest matching holiday PJs! They’re definitely a higher price point, but if you’re looking for sets you can get more wear out of throughout the year – LAKE will be your best friend. Seriously, I’ve even converted my husband! He only has one pair of pants thus far, but is always doing extra loads of laundry so he can wear them more often haha. Might need to convince my Mom on this change up for next year.
Lands’ End is a classic choice when it comes to flannels and PJs. Their prints may not be the most ‘trendy’ or ‘cool’, but I love their traditional plaids {as seen on me a couple years back} and solid options. Plus, take the family wardrobe up a notch with matching monogrammed moccasin slippers! We love them in our home.
This is a new to me brand, and I’ll admit, I don’t have first hand experience with their fit/quality, but Hanna Anderson can do no wrong with their prints! I swear each one is cuter than the next. Available in ALL sizes for littles, to women + men.
Soma is actually my Mom’s favorite, and where she typically finds our sets each year. Their cool-technology fabric is unbelievable, and their sets are always the perfect balance of cute + cozy.
