There’s something so relaxing and rejuvenating about a night in, alone, with your favorite new beauty products. Am I right, gals? I swear I re-connect with old skincare favorites and discover amazing new makeup techniques when I’ve got no where to go and nothing to do except tinker in my beauty drawer. So last Friday I did just that. Just me, my new Olay Clay Stick Masks, oh and Parker. Here’s how we did it:

STEP ONE

Set the mood. Yes, even if you’re having a solo night in, it’s important to feel relaxed and comfortable in your own home. Without distractions! I literally put my phone and computer in another room. Because we’re all creatures of habit, and even if you’re trying to disconnect, it’s so easy to pick up the phone for a ‘quick’ peek through Instagram, your email, whatever. DON’T. I love lighting a seasonal candle, turning on my latest favorite Spotify station, or watching a corny rom-com.

STEP TWO

Choose your Olay Stick Mask of choice {or hey – mix ’em up}. The beauty of having a mask in stick form is you have the ability to target specific areas of your face with different formulas. For example – I prefer the Fresh Start on my cheeks and the Pore Detox in my t-zone. I have larger pores and more oil in my t-zone, so targeting that area with a different formula works well for me. So tinker and create your own method! Apply {literally like putting a giant chapstick on your face haha} + enjoy.

If I had to pick one thing I love most about the Olay Stick Masks, it would be the fact that they don’t actually dry on your face. Sounds strange I know, but it’s a total game changer I tell you! You can still be fully mobile with the mask on – no hardness around your nose and mouth where you feel like you just have to be still, can’t have a conversation or drink your glass of wine. Does anyone else know what I’m talking about here?! I have certainly enjoyed a plethora of face masks over the years. Sheet masks, oil-based, but the Olay stick mask is unique in the fact that A) it really is mess free since nothing is actually touching your fingers for application, and B) I love that it’s not liquid form and small enough to travel with in a carry-on. Bonus!

STEP THREE

Rinse with warm water and you’re done! Hello fresh skin.

I’ve seen these advertised but wasn’t quite sure if they were all they seemed cracked up to be-I’m glad to know you enjoyed them because now I think i want to try them out, too!

Thanks for suggesting these products! I am partial to the black charcoal mask. I’ll check out more reviews before making my final decision.
