Coat season is officially upon us, and I’m readyyyyy for it! Even though my blood has very much so thinned out over the years {long ago are my days of living in Colorado}, never the less I crave a cold weather during the holidays. So I’m thrilled Charleston is cooperating. A little bit at least. We’re still having days where the AC is on during the day and heat in the evening. Alas, I’ll count my blessings – it’s 55 outside right now! Sterling is less than thrilled haha.
Corresponding with those dropping temperatures around the country, I’m sure many of you are in search of a new festive coast or two. I personally have a coat closet I’ve collected over the years; some are cycled through after one season, while others have been with me for 8+ years. Finding yourself a good coat that’s cute, comfortable, practical AND fits you well is a tall ask. I’ve found tailoring coats to fit me properly is worth while if it’s a style I truly love and can see getting a lot of use out of.
GAL MEETS GLAM COAT
One such coat line that’s recently caught my eye is the Gal Meets Glam Collection coats! Y’all know I’m a big fan of the GMG line in general. From springtime strolls to holiday parties, I absolutely love Julia’s designs and have purchased many on my own {in addition to being gifted styles}. So naturally, I was all the more intrigued to try out a coats option firsthand. If you haven’t seen them yet, they’re absolutely work a look. In true GMG fashion, the collection has a beautiful range of colors, textures and prints! I’m sporting the Gal Meets Glam coat called ‘Ophelia’. It has a classic mini houndstooth print with black piping details on the sleeves + black. Definitely a piece I’ll be able to wear for years to come!
