When we first purchased our downtown Charleston home, one of the first things I loved most about the space {aside from the hardwood floors, layout, oven hood, porches…basically everything!} was the stairwell. Our previous townhouse had one flight of stairs, but not much I could work with besides a few handing pictures. So one of the largest projects I’m working on for our new home is wallpapering the entire 3-story stairwell!!! There’s been a lot of back and forth on this decision…should we vs. shouldn’t we. Well, it’s happening. I’ve set my mind to making this a success, and have since hit a few road blocks – including the ONE wallpaper I fell completely head over heels for is a print from 2014 and there’s no longer enough of it available to cover the entire space. Dreams crushed. Alas, I’m back on the hunt for new prints + requesting new samples, but I know it’ll be uh-mazing when it’s all said and done!

Until then, I’ll be drooling over these inspiration photos…aren’t they dreamy?! Don’t worry, I won’t be going full animal print {haha, I wish}. We’re looking for something a bit more subtle that will still add a touch of sophistication and personality to the space. Stay tuned for the big reveal! Wow that palm tree wallpaper, I love it and the black and White Stripes, the stripes I think look so good with a less modern feel. The wood on the stairs softens it completely. As do the plants. So many times you see Black and White being used in very modern, geometric and simplistic spaces, however this changes the look so much. I like it a lot.

Cannot wait to see what y’all pick out!
