At the beginning of March I had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful group of ladies at Kiawah River for an afternoon of wellness + community. And what a treat it was! From planning and plotting with my dear friend Candice Broyles {events/styling Yoda}, to moodboarding and product sourcing – this event was one I’m extremely honored and proud to have been a part of! I’d love to take y’all through the day, and give some love to all the amazing brands that helped bring this Wellness Luncheon to life!

My morning started off {not so bright + early} with a starry sky drive, Starbucks in hand, out to the stunning property that is Kiawah River. If you follow along via IG Stories, you’ve definitely seen this beautiful landscape from me before. I love popping out their to work and get inspired. Located just about 30 minutes outside downtown Charleston is a true wilderness escape. Oak lined roads with hanging moss, wild birds, maybe even a snake or two – it’s serene.

I spent the morning hand tie-ing and hanging each floral from a ceiling apparatus I had installed the day before. Such a fun challenge for me, and something I honestly didn’t think I was going to accomplish. I literally had a plan B + C in place just in case it turned out to be a complete disaster haha. But alas, with the help of some amazing assistants, fishing line a drill bit and hooks – say helloooooo to me first hanging floral installation!!

As guests arrived they were greeted with a sweat towel by Weezie Towels, along with a Clean Juice bottled juice and/or immune shot. Followed by a guided yoga session on the lawn with the ever-so-talented Kate Moon. After what felt like weeks of crappy weather, that Saturday was just perfection. The sun literally came out just in time for yoga. Paired with happy birds chirping, Spanish moss blowing in the wind, the gleaming light off the river. Ah, I’m getting goosebumps thinking about it all over again!

Wellness Luncheon

The ladies were brought onto the porch to unveil the wellness luncheon table {eeeeeek}, mingle, self-serve rosé + One Love Kombucha. Harvest Catering wowed us with fresh, seasonal flavors throughout the entire afternoon. Starting with a ‘minted goat cheese + strawberry in endive’ small bite, followed by family-style lunch of lettuce cups, salads and fresh fruit cups! Lexie and her team were the kindest, and really took care of all the guests with grace.

And of course, it wouldn’t be an #ENTERTAINbyK event without some good swag. I took my time sourcing on this one, and pulled together an amazing group of brands. Brands that really pride themselves on health-focused ingredients, packaging and effectiveness. Gals went home with gifts from Kiawah River, Blender Bombs, Graefic Design, Nutty Goodness, Be Well Company, Dirty Mermaid, AILLEA and Maya Chia, Ursa Major and Ginger Chi.
