Spring + pastels go hand in hand for me, and really bring out my giddy Easter spirit. Whether it be a floral print or a playful rainbow gingham fit & flare. This sherbet checkered dress is truly what Easter dreams are made of! Am I right?!
We’re still working through our plans for this Easter Sunday. In the past when I’ve been with family, it’s always been a wonderful routine tradition: church in the morning, followed by brunch {typically at a restaurant}, Easter baskets {I’ll admit, Sterling and I do adult versions for one another! haha}, concluding with Easter dinner at my Grandma’s or elder relative. Since moving to Charleston, Sterling and I are still forming our own traditions. Which is truly so special, but then sometimes I feel the loss of those family nucleus traditions I’ve grown accustom to. But change is good, and I know it helps us grow and find our own paths.
SO this year, we’re debating – church in the morning of course, but then what to do after. He’s leaning toward heading to the beach {it’s supposed to be a beautiful day} and hanging at his Mom’s home. Which we do LOVE doing. I’m still on the fence. I love hosting {duh}, so would also love the idea of hosting a small brunch at our home following the morning service. Decisions decisions. Either way, we’re finally back to together full-time so that in and of itself will be joyous!
What are your Easter Sunday plans?!
Side note – I actually need to work on Sterling’s Easter basket as well!! YIKES. And thoughts/suggestions?! Besides just candy, because I try to not overload him with just sweets. In the past I’ve done CDs/DVDs {clearly a thing of the past}, but we haven’t spent Easter together these past 2 years, so my basket stuffing skills are feeling a little rusty.
