This week I’m excited to share a few features I’ve been holding on to. All of which were really inspired by, and embody, Pantone’s color of the year – Living Coral! It’s a beautiful orange tone with pink underlays that I find looks beautiful on several skin tones. From light {hello, exhibit A} to tan to ebony.
I’ll be sharing a few different ways you can incorporate coral into your life. From fashion to beauty to home and more. But for starters, nothing says spring like the perfect sundress. This button up style frock is so flattering with a cinched waist. While also allowing for comfortability, with constructed with a light + airy fabric. I opted to anchor the bright, cheeriness of this dress with black accents. Simple slide sandals {can’t get enough of this style with dresses right now} + straw bag keep the look approachable, yet thoughtful.
Continuing on accessories, can we talk about the flat boater hat trend for a moment? I’ve always been a fan of the straw hat, but since seeing the flat boater hat sweep some of my favorite blogger sites like Margo & Me and Blair Eadie, I had to try it out for myself. The shape is definitely a little odd. Doesn’t fit the crown of your head quite like a normal hat {hence the longer tie to keep it on}, but I love the elegance it adds to a sundress. More of a classic, old world style.
What’s your take on these two trends? Yay or nay on the flat boater hat front?
This is such a wonderful outfit! And I love the mix of the longer scarf on the small bag, it’s so pretty!
