I’m soaking up every last minute of crepe myrtle season in Charleston. The city usually has 2-3 blooming periods each spring/summer, which lights up the streets and parks with vibrant shades of fuchsias, pinks, purples + whites, along with sprinkling the sidewalks with colorful ‘snow’. It’s pretty magical, and obviously the perfect opportunity for an early morning shoot with Rachel at Hampton Park! Sunglasses, CHECK. Haha. Crazy that this beauty is basically right in my back yard! Sterling and I love doing routine bike rides through the park when the weather is this nice – sans the floral maxi of course.

I opted to pair this floral maxi dress with neutral-esk accessories via basket weave flats, a bamboo clutch, and a tinge of contrast with these burnt orange sunglasses.

How good is this cream maxi {well, midi/maxi – maxi on my 5’2 frame}?! I’m loving it, and totally think it’ll be easy to transition to fall with the addition of a jacket {UPDATE: as see here}. Also comes in a deep red!

What a sweet and feminine dress. I love the button detail on the back. This works great on you, especially surrounded by all the trees/flowers!
