A couple weekends ago I joined a group of fellow bloggers/influencers and the Toyota team for a weekend trip to Cashiers, NC – and oh what a fun time we had! It’s an area I had never visited perviously, but since moving to Charleston almost 2 years ago, I find myself making weekend trips to North Carolina more and more frequently. Really makes me miss my Colorado mountain roots. The crisp air, the crackle of a fire, the smell of the trees – ah YES.

My sweet friend + stellar photographer Julie came along for the ride…literally, since we were loaned a Toyota Tacoma for our adventure. Her company made the trip all that more enjoyable as we road through the Blue Ridge Mountainside. It had been a while since I driven a truck {back in my college days I drove Sterling’s all the time}, but the Tacoma rides surprisingly pretty smooth for a truck! The mountain turns tested my skills haha, but the car’s ‘radar’ feature was uh-mazing during open road stretches.

We arrived at High Hampton Resort {a destination I had actually heard great things about prior to the trip from local friends}, and had a low-key dinner on-site with the rest of the Toyota gang. Saturday was a combination of group activities and solo exploring time. Julie and I opted for a morning/afternoon of canoeing, followed by some time at the spa and frolicking through the dahlia farm. Then off to a finale dinner with the whole gang!

One of my favorite parts about this trips is seeing old friends. Like dear old Cathy of Poor Little It Girl and Jessica of My Style Vita. Along with meeting some new ones! Jess and Cath introduced me to another Atlanta gal Jessica Ross of Kenzie + Coco and Kaylee of Clean Modern Mayhem. Such a good group of strong, supportive women…that know how to have a fun time. Can’t wait for the next one!
