Miami’s food scene typically isn’t something to write home about. It’s usually a bit behind the trend curve, and certainly not considered a ‘foodie’ place. However I will say I’ve noticed a difference in the quality of new restaurant concepts that have been opening in the last year or so. So let’s discover one, shall we? All while wearing a corresponding {Blue Vertical Stripe Maxi Dress} look over course.

Case in point Meraki Greek Bistro, which recently opened in Downtown Miami. Having gone to Greece on our honeymoon, I’m alwayssss in the mood for Greek food {always}. My girlfriend Victoria and I decided to check out the new hidden gem for lunch one afternoon a few weeks back, and I think we were both pleasantly surprised! I’m of course no expert, but felt the food options found at Meraki were authentic and well done. From the Flaming Cheese and Trio of Spreads, to the Lamb Kababs and Greek Salad. Everything was delicious, and of course peppered with oregano. Yum tum yum. Only thing I’d note is they don’t have a vast wine selection, but for lunch we really enjoyed the traditional white table wine.
Now let’s chat for a moment about why I chose this Blue Vertical Stripe Maxi Dress for the occasion. When traveling to Europe, maxi dresses are always my go-to choice of uniform. They’re easy to dress up or down, are light and airy for hot temps {or can also be paired with a denim or leather jacket for cooler weather}, as well as provide a little extra leg coverage which I find to be appropriate when in a foreign country. I wanted to channel that European energy with this look – it’s 100% something I’d wear across the pond for a full day of exploring.
Tell me – do you have any current favorite restaurants in Miami? I’m always up for trying new spots on my visits!
