On our final full day in Lake Como, we rented a boat to casually drive around the lake for a few hours in the morning/afternoon. There’s nothing quite like taking in the scenic views of all the tiny, colorful towns, on a boat, in Italy. Talk about a next level boat day! The entire afternoon was really fueling my urge to join a boat share in Charleston haha {something Sterling and I keep entertaining}.
We stopped off at this sweet little town on the flip side of Bellagio to snap a few pics + stock up on snacks!
Rhode Resort Review
Now onto the outfit. Rhode resort has been one of my go-to brands for travel dresses the last couple years. They’re super lightweight {i.e. great for packing}, and although they do wrinkle a bit while folded up, they’re suited for it. Not that your garment is meant to be worn wrinkly, but the way the fabric folds/flows, it’s not severely noticeable. If that makes sense?!
I’ve worn their pieces in Mexico, Spain and now Italy {and of course a ton when I’m home}! I usually gravitate toward ‘printed fabrics’, but with Rhode resort I seem to love their solids. Their silhouettes are just so versatile, I think I subconsciously want to be able to wear them again and again. Not just for a special occasion. Hence, sticking to a few classic solids – white, pink, black, and saffron! Don’t get me wrong – I loveeee their prints as well {they’re truly a work of art}.
Kept my accessories pretty simple with neutral textures. My Hermes Oran Sandals have become non-negotiable when I travel. The leather has broken in SO well, they’re like butter. Paired those cognac slides with a trendier item – a rattan top handle bag – to add some texture + contrast. Both pieces not only pair well with this Rhode resort number, but also with pretty much everything I packed in the suitcase for this trip. Makes mixing + matching a lot easier when you want to leave space for shopping and special take-homes.
