2 weeks ago I popped up to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for the first time with a few of my bestest blogger babes – Christina of Oh So Glam, Ashley of Side Smile Style, Bethany of B Soup, Emily of Life With Emily, Cathy of Poor Little It Girl + Jessica of My Style Vita. Outer Banks has actually been a place on my ‘to-visit’ list for a while, so when Sanderling Resort offered to host us for a girls weekend…I was game! I flew up to DC the weekend prior {more to come on that}, and road tripped it with a few of the ladies Monday morning down to Sanderling Resort in Duck, NC. By the time we arrived, we had a couple hours of daylight and good weather left. So off to the beach in Lilly Pulitzer we went! #SquadGoals am I right?! We only had 2 full days in Duck, but boy did we pack it in…
Day 1, included a bit of an impromptu multi-mile bike ride, thanks to cruiser rentals via Kitty Hawk Kites. Luckily we had the talented Brooke Mayo along for the day to capture us exploring the town of Duck. The trip included a coffee/tea pit-stop at Duck’s Cottage – quaint spot for a midday pick-me-up, complete with bookstore + outdoor seating. And lunch at The Blue Point – super cute spot on the boardwalk. Everyone seemed happy with their food choices, but I can personally speak to the delicious ‘pimento grilled cheese’. Oh baby.
Our dinner spots included Paper Canoe {delicious locally sourced food spot} + Sunset Grille & Raw Bar {great spot to grab a drink with the locals}.
Sanderling Resort was the perfect place to host all 7 of us. We ended up having three of our rooms connecting, so it felt like one giant girl sleepover. We were greeted by cheerful staff, and a surprise room service delivery of the most b-e-a-u-tiful charcuterie board, paired with a few bottles of wine. Way to kick off the week, right?! We were certainly off to an impeccable start.
Our first night on property, we took advantage of their darling s’mores station + fire pit {available to guests every night!}. It took my right back to our Rehearsal Dinner, with every topping combination imaginable!
Breakfast at Life Saving Station our last morning – dubbed the best breakfast in The Outer Banks – couldn’t have been a better send off. I went big with a little ‘sampling’ haha – biscuits + gravy {when it’s on a menu, I have to try them}, house-made lemon poppyseed muffin {to. die.}, along with a pancake stack for the table. I mean, if you’re going for it, may as well go all the way. We partnered with Lilly Pulitzer + Kendra Scott to help outfit us for the trip, which made for some adorable group shots on the beach!
Peace out, #BloggersDoOBX!
{until our next adventure}

Great post! And such a great ide 🙂 Girl trips are so fun! Good thing you got joining room. That always keeps the girl talk going a little longer 🙂 Looks like a great resort too!
What an awesome, fun trip! I seriously need to round up a group of bloggers, or maybe some Florida bloggers can do a staycation this summer? 😉 Seriously though, love an awesome group of women — so glad you had a great time!
