Mother’s Day is almost here, and while I was supposed to be hopping on a plane tomorrow morning to visit my Momma in Colorado, I’m still doing my best to honor her from afar. But man, this sticks. I actually haven’t seen my parents since October {probably the longest I’ve ever gone in my lifetime}, so was really looking forward to this trip. Anyone else just feeling a little off about it this year? Just me?
Thankfully we have Sterling’s Mom nearby and are going to have the family {small numbers, promise} over to celebrate her! Focusing on the positive. SO, whether you’re mailing something to your Mother, physically spending the day with her, or maybe even gifting to a Mom friend – here are some wonderful gifts for Mom ideas to make her feel extra loved + appreciated.
I’ve tried to incorporate a range of price points, along with a number of stores that are still providing shipping/delivery by Sunday. As well as several gifts for Mom that include supporting small businesses and ‘local picks’ you can pick-up from if you’re in Charleston!
Gift for Mom
Scalloped frames from AERIN | I’ve been eyeing these beauties myself, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that Mom’s love their photos. Print out an updated photo of you + your husband or the grandkids. Complete with a stunning frame – it’s the perfect combination of sentiment + new.
One of a kind earrings from NICOLA BATHIE | Her pieces are timeliness, and the delicate details are absolute perfection. I own a few pairs, including some Sterling gifted me for Christmas this past year. I cherish them so much, and receive dozens of compliments on the uniqueness.
Napkin refresh with these gingham pretties from POTTERY BARN | These are a great price point {also loving the simple block print version}, so could also easily be added to a gift box of Mom’s favorite things!
LOCAL PICK: AMANDA LINDROTH‘s doors have re-opened at their King street location. Now’s the perfect occasion to spoil Mom with some block print goodies + support local! I adore truly everything Amanda designs, so this is a clear winner for all.
The Gift of Fragrance from YANKEE CANDLE | A tried + true favorite for so many Mommas {mine included}! Currently burning their Homemade Herb Lemonade and loving how soft it is!
LOCAL PICK: Painted Oyster Shell Dish from GRIT & GRACE | Perfect addition to any sink or bedside table for Mom’s treasures. I actually purchased one of these for my bestie a couple years ago! She’s reported the paint is still going strong and she loves it.
Flats from SARAH FLINT | I gifted the Natalie to my Mom this year, and she’s loving them! Great for a Mom on the go. Incredible craftsmanship and genuine leather.
LOCAL PICK: Raffia Slide Sandals from BEAU & RO | I own a pair myself and can attest to the beautiful quality + comfy fit!
Farm fresh garden roses from GRACE ROSE FARM in California | is a wonderful time to support small businesses + farmers. One that I’ve heard amazing things about, but have yet to try myself. Their blooms look absolutely breathtaking!
LOCAL PICK: A couple of my favorite local florists are offering Mother’s Day bouquets for delivery! Check out JUNIPER & JASMINE {I’ve worked with Caroline here + here} and ROSEBAY for details + availability.
LOCAL PICK: Support a local business + treat Mom with a gift card from THE WATER ROOM. She can use towards a relaxing nail service or a selection of clean beauty products they carry.
Gardening wear by BROOKE & LOU | If your Mom is a bit more practical, sprucing up her gardening tools would not only be thoughtful, but functional! I love Brooke & Lou’s beautiful interiors, which transitions to their garden collection.
LOCAL PICK: Skip the traditional flower bouquet and head to ELIZABETH STUART or HYAM’S to personally pick out something colorful for Mom! They have the most beautiful, specialty pots {Bergs are my personal favorite}. That paired with flower or plant – Mom is sure to love the thoughtfulness. Even a single bud pot would be a sweet gesture and cost effective.
What are you gifting Mom this year?! Would love to hear any other gifts for Mom ideas y’all have. A comment can always help another reader with an idea as well!
