Buongiorno from Roma! I’ve officially been in Italy almost a week, and am loving every minute of it! Even the sweaty, sore feet parts haha. I’ll of course be sharing LOTS more from the trip in the coming days/week, but hope you’re following along via Instagram for daily updates + inspo. I’m trying to be pretty consistent on the platform while I’m abroad – which isn’t too hard to accomplish when there’s so much beauty {and COLOR I might add} all around.
First up, I’m excited to share this uber affordable floral flutter sleeve dress with y’all. It’s a light, airy, almost crepe-like fabric that’s breathable for those summer temps. The elastic, cinched waist helps define your curves more, and I love the addition of the sash. I paired this floral flutter sleeve dress with silver sandals to tie in the grey. Along with straw accessories because, I just love straw for summer and it adds texture to a look.
Julie + I stayed in Trastevere during our stay, and I cannot recommend it enough! She’s stayed in the same area previously, and for good reason. Trastevere is super walkable, and is pretty pedestrian friendly throughout. I didn’t realize how spread out Rome was until this trip! I’ve only visited once previously for a cruise, which is of course a bit of a skewed perspective when you’re shuttled around on a bus for the day. Alas, staying in an area like Trastevere is a great choice because there’s tons to do within walking distance. Restaurants, gelato, the Tibe River, The Coliseum, etc all within a 15 min walk max. I’ll be sure to do an entire review post for y’all on the area, which will include a few of my favorite spots we checked out + our uh-mazing Airbnb info.
