I recently purchased my first home {an adorable 2 story townhouse} and needless to say the experience of transitioning from college living {renting with roommates} to owning a home has been exciting/terrifying/nerve raking/frustrating/a bunch of other emotions – but all worthwhile!
I have been stalking Pinterest and internet sites for inexpensive decorating ideas that would help transform our space. So I came up with an amazing idea for our guest bedroom/craft station: a Gallery Wall of Framed Scrapbook Paper! It also gives the room a much needed pop of color with the stark white walls.
What you’ll need:
– 9 square picture frames
{I purchased mine from Michaels on sale for $4.99 PLUS an additional 20% OFF coupon}
– your favorite colored spray paint
{I used RustOleum Gloss Navy Blue $3.87: at Home Depot}
– 9 pieces of scrapbook paper
{Often on sale for 5 or 6 pieces for $1 at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Joann’s Fabric, etc.}
– leveler and tape measurer
{these tools are the KEY to making the frames straight and spaced correctly}
Great advice. Thank you for your time in helping me on this project!
