Today my GBFF {Dan of Real Guys Wear Ties} + I are kicking off a fun new ‘He Said, She Said’ series where we tackle current fashion trends and showcase how they’re wearable for both men + women alike! Pretty fun, right?! Dan + I have been friends for years – he was actually one of the first people who encouraged me to start a blog – so this collaboration has been in the making for some time! SO, check out his site {uh-mazingly dapper menswear inspo} + we hope you love the series as much as we’ve loved coming up with trends, etc.

First up – ‘unconventional color pairings’ with bar III – we’re talking mixing blue/black, black/brown {seen on me}, black/blue, etc. In the past so many of us {myself included} have shied away from these combos, for fear of not matching and what not. Dan + I are hear to proclaim that’s no longer the case, people! As long as you’re able to pull different textures and complimenting colors, you’ll be able to successfully pull the entire look together with ease.
