A couple weekends ago I traveled back to the land of palm trees, bikinis + beaches {I’m speaking of Miami of course} for a Sunny Isles Girls Trip with the #BloggersDoTravel gang! Cathy of Poor Little It Girl, Jessica of My Style Vita, Emily of Life with Emily and Shelby of Glitter & Gingham.
I was familiar with Acqualina Resort & Spa from previously living in the area, and even visited the spa a few years back, but had never stayed on property for an overnight visit. This time around was a little different: 3 nights in a 2-bedroom suite {equipped with two living rooms, double balconies, 4 TVs, full size kitchen + dining room} – talk about a roughin’ it! Haha. Sometimes when you think ‘one room’ with 5 girls…you cringe a little. The mental picture of stuff everywhere with barely enough room to move isn’t my idea of a vacation. Luckily the Acqualina made it to where the girls and I were so comfortable with plenty of room to get ready, eat/drink + lounge around. It was definitely one of those rare hotel rooms you’re just a little sad to leave.
The weather was surprisingly beyond gorgeous, so we were able to take full advantage of the adults-only pool, along with the 5-star acclaimed ESPA and on-site restaurant Il Mulino New York.
It wouldn’t be a trip down south without hitting a few of my favorite spots, so I was thrilled when the ladies were up for a couple off-site meals! Insert – GG’s Waterfront Bar & Grill for a waterfront dinner, and Top Hat Deli for sendoff brunch. Two of my faves for oh-so-many reasons: the ambiance, the décor, the staff, and of course the food. We all agreed both spots were well worth the uber ride fare to get there!
Miss these girlies already, but we’re already planning our next trip and it looks like it’s going to be a little closer to home for me {wink wink}! Cannot wait.
