Day 4 of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim was by far my longesttttt day at the tents {I’m talking like 12 hours}. I was bouncing around everywhere it felt like! Started out with a Swim Soiree at The Raleigh, paired with a quick chat with the Hawaiian Tropic team to learn more about their latest ‘Beautiful Skin’ initiative. Clearly I’m not exactly dressed to dive it, but I didn’t have time to change throughout the day, because trust me…a nice swim would have been amazing in the blazing heat of summer.

Kendall & I
I spent the afternoon getting to know the adorable {and oh-so-sweet} Kendall and Erika from BNO as the three of us headed to the Shelbourne’s Retreat Lounge, in search of some much needed revitalization. Best. Idea. EVER. This place was incridible {&& air conditioned! YES}. Not only did I get my hair, make-up, and nail done…I did it all with a cocktail and cupcake in hand {now that’s my kinda afternoon}.
I was so happy when I found time to swing by the W Hotel to preview Beloved Star’s collection. I’ve always been a huge fan of embellished tunics and cover ups, but this designer takes the word ‘bedazzle’ to another level. The combination of silky fabric and flowy chiffon topped with bronze beads and mini rhinestones {to name a few} is pure perfection. The best part…I scored one of these gorgeous pieces for myself at the Salon Allure sample sale! EEEK – can’t wait to debut it in Vegas!
Caffe Swimwear: loving the pops of color on the runway! Chiffon floral prints really caught my eye, along with the use of teal, turquoise, and purples. And how could I forget the bags! Amazing accessory on the runway.
Mara Hoffman: not necessarily my style, but I love the way Mara chose to style the models. Her collections are continuously iconic and I was thrilled to see the collection in person. Big hair – always a fan. Cowboy boots, cut-outs, and temporary feather leg tattoos were all part of the mix.
Then there was Chloé. Don’t get me wrong, I love my bikinis and resort wear, but I have to say…I was over the moon in anticipation of the Chloé Spring 2013 Collection presented at the Soho Beach House. So much so, that I will be dedicating an entire post to the show…coming soon. Brace yourselves. For now, check out the awesome signage for the night!
Cute photos! Looks like such a fun event!!
