WHERE YOU’LL STAY
Zero George | 2-night weekday stay | One of Charleston’s finest boutique hotel’s on the peninsula, Zero George is by far my favorite. I had the pleasure of staying here years ago before we moved to Charleston and fell in love with it. Since then, Sterling and I have become big fans of hanging out on the porch with a wine or cocktail in hand. It’s also one of my go-to spots to brings friends when they visit!
The staff is so friendly and accommodating; they’ll truly make you feel right at home. Rooms are situated in multiple historic buildings, all connected by several common areas: the porch, the main entrance and an intimate courtyard. You’ll find the accommodations cozy and warm, but not over the top or stuffy. There’s also a restaurant/bar located in the main house. This is open to non-hotel guests as well, so it’s a fun spot to grab a drink and chat with locals over happy hour.
If you’re celebrating something extra special {like winning a trip to Charleston}, think about booking a table at the restaurants for this incredible tasting menu. It’s worth the experience, and the food is divine.
EXPERIENCE THE HOLY CITY
Anne Rhett Photography | Family/Portrait Session OR a piece of her art | Anne is such a pro, and one of the best in town! Such a treat to have the opportunity to have your a photo session with her around town! Session to be coordinate with Anne directly based on availability during your visit.
The Water Room | 2 level 3 pedicures | Non-toxic nails done well. I love getting a relaxing pedicure at The Water Room. The space is so zen, and yes, the non-toxic polish does stay on my nails + looks great.
Walk and Talk Tour | 2 walking tours | Explore our town with the one and only Lid Lady herself! Tyler is just a gem to walk around the city with, truly. I’ve taken her tour myself and always recommend it to visitors. She does a wonderful job keeping the tour fun and interesting without feeling boring or just a way to ‘pass the time’.
Crabbing with Tia | Experience for 2 | Spend the afternoon dock-side crabbing with Tia and her amazing crew. Voted one of the top 5 Airbnb experiences by USA Today, and for good reason! Sterling and I have crabbed with Tia personally and now recommend it to all our friends + family when they’re in town. It’s fun for all ages and a fun way to see a different side of the Low Country!
Candlefish | Candle making class passes for 2 | I’ve done this class 3 times and will continue going back! Such a fun mid-day activity and good for all ages.
The Works | 2 workout passes to The Works + 2 passes to The Works Cycle | Even on vacay, it’s always good to get in a good sweat! The Works classes are incredible and such a great way to jump start your day.
Spa Azure | $500 gift card | Gahhh this prize, what a treat!! Really pamper yourself with a facial at Spa Azure during your stay. You’ll feel incredible, and your skin will most certainly thank you for it.
TASTE OF THE LOW COUNTRY
Basic Kitchen | $100 gift card | Probably my most frequented spot in town. It’s just so darn good. And healthy, which you’ll notice can be tough to come by in a city with some of the best southern food in the US. It’s a great low-key spot to grab lunch before/after shopping on King Street. TIP: You cannot visit Basic Kitchen without ordering the ‘buffalo cauliflower wings’. It’s practically a right of passage. I’m not even the biggest buffalo sauce fan, but can’t not order them when I go.
Harken Cafe | $50 gift certificate | One of the newer editions to the Charleston food scene, Harken is a cozy cafe located in downtown Charleston. Perfect spot to grab a coffee + snack on your way to explore.
Wild Common | A 4 Course Tasting Dinner with Wine Pairings; one of Zero George’s preferred partners and a real treat! I recently had the opportunity to experience the winter tasting menu and was truly wowed by the innovative pairings, ambiance and service. Not talked about enough in Charleston, but a real gem!
Frannie & The Fox | $100 gift card | New to the Charleston food scene, and worth the hype. The outdoor ambiance is perfection, and the food does not disappoint. Get the corn starter and pepperoni pizza {sounds basic, but it’s NOT}.

disappointed that i have to have an instagram account to enter your giveaway. I have signed up for emails to many of the businesses that are participating & will buy online or visit when i visit Charleston, so I wish your giveaway was open to anyone with internet access, not just those on instagram. some of us older people don’t necessarily buy in to all the social medea, but we do have money to spend.
I do apologize for that! And appreciate the feedback. I’m personally inclined to agree with you, however the majority of participating brands put the highest priority on instagram growth as it’s the fastest growing social media platform. And our goal is to support them as best we can. Ultimately I hope this post serves as an overall guide to support small businesses in our community that could use all the support they can right now.
