TIP #1 | DONE-UP: This is a great addition for Mom. I’ve simply wrapped the gift with a single metallic ribbon + added a poinsettia click on! These can be found in the tree decorations area, generally for about $1 each. A little goes a long way with impressions!
TIP #2 | NO CURL: This is a little trick I do as Christmas Eve is winding down, and I cannot physically {or mentally} wrap another present. There’s a specific ribbon I stock up on each year {about 1/2 an inch thick ‘curling ribbon’} that’s perfect for a ‘non curl’ method. The trick is to simply use a lot of it! You start with a base ribbon wrap {the standard four side wrap}, and then cut smaller pieces of ribbon to tie on individually. Once the single pieces are on, you can also cut them in half down to the center knot {just adds a little flare + makes it seem like there are more strands}. That way it kind of resembles a messy snowflake {or I like to think so at least}.
TIP #3 | RUSTIC: Add string {comes in different colors!} to your favorite paper. This is seriously dumby-proof. There’s no pattern to the string, you simply wrap it around the package a few times and tie the ends together. I’ve also added a ‘chipboard letter’ {found in packaged alphabet sets at your local craft store} to personalized the gift. This looks like you spent way more time wrapping then you actually put in.
TIP #4 | MANLY/NEUTRAL: Layering a burlap ribbon + string around a more glamorous wrapping paper, gives the presentation an ‘elevated’ feel, without being too feminine.
TIP #5 | GLAM: Add some serious glam to your package with glittering ribbon! Looping the edges with a fun way to jazz up your ribbon technique + do something a little different. Add an inexpensive embellishment with an ornament {could be a simple snowflake as this, or an actual bulb}.
Tis the season of giving, and I’m not sure about y’all, but I’m already half way done with my shopping lists. I’m a ‘shop year round’ type gal, that way nothing sneaks up on me! eBay is exploding with one-of-a-kind, vintage, and hard to find pieces. Take the Balmain for H&M collection for example. Sold. out. everywhere. Everywhere…except eBay!
I picked up these gorgeous chandelier earrings {brand new, in the box of course} for one of my girlfriends, and I know she’s going to be SO stoked. Who wouldn’t be?! They’re kind of amazing. Regardless if you’re shopping for a friend, relative or co-worker, eBay is a great stop to score amazing products at truly unbeatable prices {or in my case, practically unattainable for lack of inventory elsewhere}!
