A couple weeks ago I had the honor of working with HANDY {a local Fort Lauderdale based charity ‘helping abused, neglected, disadvantaged youth’} to present my thoughts on practical {yet fashionable of course} core wardrobe pieces that would benefit recent college graduates. Whether you’re headed to a second interview, or first day on the job – what you wear can make a big difference. My top pieces included a classic black blazer for women {navy or stone if black is already taken care off} + a great pair of tailored slacks for men {not quite as exciting, but key for making a good impression}.

Following the presentation, we had a blast shopping around Macy’s at the Galleria Fort Lauderdale for ‘work wear’ items! The grads were gifted items of their choice to wear to a celebratory breakfast the following week. I was fortunate enough to attend that said breakfast, and really see first hand the life changing work HANDY has + continues to do within the local community!
