Indoor Garden Party Dinner CRU Catering | Charleston, SC Events by Reagan | Charleston, SC Indoor Garden Party Dinner | COLOR by K
Throwing it back to September and my 30th Birthday Celebration! Why am I just now sharing, you ask? Well The Venue Report is also featuring my Indoor Garden Dinner Party today! So alas, I’m thrilled to share all the details as well!

THE THEME

The vision for my 30th birthday celebration was a spring inspired indoor Garden Dinner Party. While I love a good al fresco dinner, September is just still so warm in Charleston. Therefore, an indoor venue was necessary for everyone to really be comfortable. The Vault provided the perfect balance of a blank slate and a small space so guests would truly feel that sense of being in an intimate courtyard. Not to mention the pre-strung café lights offered a warmth that really achieved that cozy, soft, feminine feel I was looking for.

Initially everything stemmed from a muted floral fabric swatch I discovered online. I envisioned lots of layered textures and patterns, all in the greenery family. And TONS of whimsical florals and natural greenery…emphasis on garden! I enlisted the help of the talented Reagan Barnes of Events by Reagan to help further brainstorm and execute the concept start to finish. There’s nothing quite like being able to walk into your own party without a care or worry in the world. This dinner was all about celebrating a milestone, and bringing my nearest + dearest together. Reagan knocked it out of the park, and put my mind at ease that everything would be exactly how I envisioned.

Not knowing the origin of the base inspiration fabric, we turned to The Social Spool gals to source this specific fabric and another pattern to pair well for tabletop. Glassware always adds such a unique touch to any table. I knew I wanted to incorporate some vintage pieces from my own collection, so the varied water goblets added some great contrast with the ivory and muted floral prints, paired with Snyder’s clean lined plates and gold flatware.

THE FLORALS

Floral direction was left in the hands of Caroline of Juniper and Jasmine. She took the ‘Garden Party’ theme to new heights with creeping wall vines, overflowing centerpieces cascading down the center of the table, and a perfectly arched floral masterpiece at the entrance of the space. Florals were truly at the center of this entire event, since a garden theme wouldn’t have been possible without them! Caroline exceeded what I had originally envisioned, and truly brought the entire look to life. That’s why I LOVE working WITH other creatives so much! We all bring something unique + special to a project.

THE MENU

For menu, the we enlisted one of Charleston’s best – CRU Catering, to come up with 3-courses fitting for the celebration. Guests started with a fresh salad garnished with edible flowers {love sticking to a theme start to finish}, followed by a choice of mushroom gnocchi or braised short rib + cauliflower mash. To finish the evening – forget the cake – per my request, cookies were to served! CRU concocted a beautifully presented milk + cookie trio for us to indulge in.

From beach + boat, to cocktails + dinners, what a FUN weekend that was. Oh my goodness, looking at these pics again is helping me re-live all the memories. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of sweet and supportive friends. Some flew in from out of state, while others ubered from down the street – all of which made me feel so loved and thought of.
