Stackable arm candy {or arm swag} is all the rage right now, so naturally I was so excited when I met the oh so sweet Miami based jewelry designer behind CRE. These handmade collections consist of high quality pieces in so many colors and styles – you’re bound to find something your jewelry box can’t live without. From rubberized black beads and austrian crystals to buddha heads and wooden variations ranging from $10-$70, Cre has you covered. And let me tell you, these pieces are extremely well crafted and so affordable. I can honestly say I was surprised when I first received my own customized stack and felt how heavy and durable the beads were!

Catalina, the designer of CRE, began making little bracelets here and there, mainly for herself and friends as a creative outlet. After receiving so much positive feedback Catalina decided to begin selling her baubles online and in boutiques this past November. Since then, she has expanded to not only customizable bracelets and necklace but also earrings and handbags {coming soon – see below!} Shop Cre Online or find her stylish pieces at Miami boutique Prinzzesa!

And now for the Q&A with the designer herself…

1. What does CRE stand for?
“Cre stands for my name: Catalina Rodriguez-Edwards”

2. How do you choose what materials to use when designing your pieces?
“I draw from inspiration and I imagine things before I make them. Then I go on a search to find the materials I imagined. I am inspired by my time living in NYC and mixing it with my Miami flare!”

3. What is your personal favorite piece you’ve ever made?
“My favorite piece I have ever made is a matt white bead bracelet, in the middle it has 2 pink glass hearts and a pearl in the middle of the hearts (from my wedding dress) to make it look like a bow.”

4. In three words or less, how would you describe the CRE brand?
“Fashionably affordable!”

5. I know you have some big plans in store for your upcoming Signature Collection. Can you tell us a little bit about that?
“I am starting a new line called, “sig”. These are going to be exclusive pieces. I will make a few per season and will change accordingly. For the sig line I am making purses as well as gold and black diamond pieces.”

Stay tuned for more from CRE – including a giveaway!
