Last month Sterling + I had the most incredible opportunity to cruise {VIP style} with the Mediterranean based line MSC Cruises. Talk about uh-mazing right?! We always go on about the amazing ‘mini vacation’ options right in our own backyard – cruising being one – so I was thrilled to take advantage of a winter getaway to relax and detach from technology for a bit {as a blogger, you can imagine this is a tough one for me…}

Here’s a peek at our truly amazing experience on-board, while visiting St. Maartan, San Juan + a private island in the Bahamas:

From the moment we arrived on-site, the energy of the staff and even other guests was infectious! We were greeted by our cheery butler for the week {talk about spoiled, I know} who gave us a tour of the MSC Divina and all it had to offer during our getaway. I’ve been on several other cruise lines prior to MSC, and I can honestly say this companies’ attention to detail is on point. Everything from the tasteful decor {which was still the typical ‘themed’ feel, but classed-up quite a bit}, and an abundance of on-board activities, to the friendly service and food options – we felt very well cared for.

If you have the opportunity, here’s where you want to be! The MSC Yacht Club is designed to give guests the option of private service within a secluded area of the ship. There’s a card-key needed to enter this area, which gives access to a pool deck, poolside bar + buffet, indoor lounge {open until 2AM every night}, unlimited all-inclusive food + drink, and so much more. Yacht Club members are also privy to ‘Le Muse’ restaurant for all meals. We experienced amazing service each evening {opted more for the lounge + poolside buffet for breakfast/lunch}, starting with a glass of prosecco {can’t go wrong there} and fresh baked breads. For a picky eater like myself {ok, I’ll say ‘particular’, not as picky these days}, I was impressed with the entree variety – all of which tasted quiet delicious. Personal faves included the housemade risotto, french onion soup, lamb chops + cannoli desert {omg, I die}.

We tried to explore the ship to the fullest extent, not just the Yacht Club area. Although, I must admit we decided to remain on-board for the majority of the cruise {only actually exploring St. Maarten a bit}. I always feel like cruises don’t give you nearly enough time to thoroughly explore a new country, so I personally enjoy remaining on-board and indulging in the ships’ bliss. MSC Divina is one of twelve ships in the family owned companies’ global fleet, and offers on-board activities for children, evening entertainment shows {showcasing an amazing group of talented performers – seriously!}, outdoor movie screenings, private dining options, nightclub, multiple bars throughout, extensive shopping, hair salon {which I totally went to twice while on-board}, spa + sauna, and much more we didn’t get a chance to explore.

I just have to say, thank you so so much for having us on-board MSC Divina! This is yet again one of those amazing opportunities that I’ve been able to experience thanks to Living In Color Print + all of you reading!
